Cheney expected in Clear Lake Monday

for those of you in iowa, in north iowa particularly, our dear friend dick will be in the area on labor day. Mason City Globe-Gazette has the following write up:

CLEAR LAKE — Vice President Dick Cheney will speak in City Park in Clear Lake at 3 p.m. Monday, Cerro Gordo County Republican leaders were told Thursday.

Officials from the Bush-Cheney campaign said they could not confirm his appearance. Local Republicans said they were not authorized to comment officially but had begun making plans for his appearance. Secret Service personnel have been in North Iowa this week, apparently preparing for Cheney’s visit.
