Using a technique that's helped sell millions of exercise machines, food dehydrators and rotisserie ovens, Springer hopes a 30-minute infomercial about his ambition to be Ohio's next senator will inspire legions of fed-up voters to send in money.

For $25, supporters get a T-shirt featuring the logo "Run Jerry Run" in red - or blue "to match your eyes."

For $100, the shock-TV ringmaster and former Cincinnati mayor is offering a T-shirt and a photo of himself standing next to the Hicksville, Ohio, city limits sign.

2. Jerry Springer is a bright guy, who was a pretty good Mayor.

He has played the fool on TV because he sees it as Entertainmnet,
and because it pays so well. Problem is--you can't serve two
masters, and he has chosen the low road too many times. It's
a shame. If he does happen to win, I think the last part of his
life can be his best. It's just that the odds don't favor it.

7. I don't think it's cool to bash Jerry Springer ref slack jawed etc.

If he's running, it's not a joke. JS is a good guy who can do
a lot of good things--if he ditches Richard--and the rest of
the jerks around him, he'll get his chance. Maybe his last
chance to be who he really is. IMHO
