1. It's beyond my understanding to think that someone would give

a low rating to the importance of American deaths simply in order to support their "team." Are they Americans or Republicans?

completely confuse being republican with being American. They are walking, talking party line 24/7 (Fox News)! I've found that they tend not to actually think through issues or ask themselves what's best for America. Instead they see politics as a blood sport -- and they want their team to win at any cost.
