Typhoon Meari bears down on Japan
Tokyo - Powerful Typhoon Meari hit Japan's southwestern Kagoshima prefecture on Wednesday morning, causing power failures and evacuation orders.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the typhoon, the season's 21st, hit the city of Makurazaki in Kagoshima just before 9am (00h00 GMT) and winds up to 185km/h were recorded.

At least 131 700 households in the Kyushu region, including Kagoshima and Fukuoka prefectures, have lost electricity, due to Meari, according to a spokesperson at Kyushu Electric Power.

More than 1 600 people in Kyushu have evacuated to public halls and other safer places, according to NHK TV.

As the attention is focused on FL, Asia has gotten trashed by many typhoons. Why haven't I heard one Whore Media source question the cause could be Bush type environmental policies?

1. I hope everyone will be able to recover, no loss of life.
You are correct about the media whores. I have been thinking about the typhoons lately. I did a Google search last night, to see what was going on.

Of course we are going to be more concerned about our own citizens first. That is human naure. But it should be the job of the media to bring the rest of the world to our attention.

2. Because that would earn them a lost job
or, if they retained their job for straying so far into the Forbidden Topics, they would be excoriated by the Bushevik Party-Loyal Sub-Media.
