ELRYIA, United States (AFP) - Democratic hopeful John Kerry (news - web sites) depicted President George W. Bush (news - web sites) as angry, wrongheaded and unfit to lead, hours after the two rivals slugged out their second televised debate.

snip ...

"For me, the most stunning moment of the whole evening was when George Bush (news - web sites) was asked to name three mistakes that he has made ... and the President couldn't even name one mistake."

Kerry looked back on Friday's night's debate in St. Louis, Missouri, recalling that at one stage a riled-up Bush cut off moderator Charles Gibson in midsentence to answer one of his rival's statements.

"I was a little worried at one point, I thought the President was going to attack Charlie Gibson."

1. Good article, it is easy to imagine Kerry in the White House
With that horse face of his he reminds people of Lincoln and Jefferson, Kerry just LOOKS like a President, unlike Shrub who too closely resembles Mr Potato head.

The more we imagine him in office the truer that reality becomes. We can do this, the world and the truth are on our side.

3. heh he..."he was going to attack..."
I think what John Kerry is saying here, is that BeetleBrain is UNBALANCED. He's out of his mind. Loopy.

For me, the most breathtaking moment was when Bush got this wild look in his eyes and said, "Ah own uh Lumber Kump'ny?" "Wanna Bah sum Wuud?" His eyes had this insane look in them, and that's when I knew the old boy is not all there.

He's not playing with a full deck.

9. bush DOES own interest in a lumber company. factcheck.org says so...

Timber! Bush Caught Lying About Lumber Business in the Second Debate. Take Him to the Woodshed!

A BUZZFLASH NEWS ANALYSIS

From a BuzzFlash Reader:

Buzz:

I was surfing on the Internet when I heard President Bush assert strongly that he owned no timber business and made the stupid joke about someone needing wood in response to the assertion of John Kerry that Bush did indeed own such a business. I went to factcheck.org at this site http://www.factcheck.org/article.aspx@DocID=265 and found the following which says:

"President Bush himself would have qualified as a 'small business owner' under the Republican definition, based on his 2001 federal income tax returns. He reported $84 of business income from his part ownership of a timber-growing enterprise. However, 99.99% of Bush's total income came from other sources that year. (Bush also qualified as a "small business owner" in 2000 based on $314 of "business income,'but not in 2002 and 2003 when he reported his timber income as 'royalties' on a different tax schedule.)"

What this tells me is that the President hasn't the smallest idea of what he has, what he promises, what he can deliver. In essence, his campaign is built on lies made up by his handlers and he is just the facade for such lies.

<snip>
------------------------
the article at factcheck.org does have a small error which they have corrected, but he still owns interest in a lumber company.

15. Kerry should get a copy of the tax return
and any shareholder info he can get from the company and waive it around. It would have to make Bush look like a fucking retard if he didn't even know what companies he invested in.

5. Kerry has an opening
I do hope that Senator Kerry will stop trying to defend his plan and go for the jugular.

The President is quite vulnerable on his administration's record. Just list the mistakes (with minimal words):
Bush was on vacation, IGNORING the terrorist threat. MISTAKE
Bush sat for 7 minutes when he knew the US was under attack...he did not know under attack from what. MISTAKE
Bush diverted the best army in the world from cutting off the serpent's head in Tora Bora. We should have kicked Osama' butt. MISTAKE
Bush rushed to war with out enough troops to ensure stability. MISTAKE
And so on and so on.

The president doesn't learn from his mistakes, he makes an excuse.
Clinton should have handled Al-QUaida. EXCUSE
I didn't want to upset the children. EXCUSE
Saddam was an threat in 3 years if sanctions were lifted and he got his hands on some nuclear materials) EXCUSE
Chalabi said that they would greet us with flowers...how could I know he was lying? Lame EXCUSE
Excuses, excuses, excuses.

When will he acknowledge his responsibility, his legacy? WHy? - it doesn't matter since "We'll all be dead." (according to Woodward)

12. Welcome to DU, whaZ00...
Here's another excuse to add to your list:

In his response to Kerry's comment about not having the recommended number of troops, he blamed Tommy Franks & the other generals.

As for the Yahoo article, this is one comment on which I agree with the coWard:

"With a straight face he said he only had one position on Iraq. He must think we've been on another planet," Bush said.

That not only says it for Kerry, but a majority of people in this country -- the same majority that feels the coWard needs to be frog-marched out of Washington.

14. Has anyone else been reading that Bush used the Dred Scott
decision as a code phrase to let his fundie base know that he would
try and overturn Roe v Wade? It was such a weird comment that seemed to come out of nowwhere but maybe that was the point.
