Jurors in Enron barge trial resume deliberations
Miami Herald

Posted on Mon, Nov. 01, 2004
Associated Press

HOUSTON - Jurors on Monday continued deliberating the outcome of the fraud and conspiracy trial of four former Merrill Lynch & Co. executives and two former midlevel Enron Corp. executives.

The case was handed to jurors for deliberations late Thursday.

Jurors told U.S. District Judge Ewing Werlein they expect to deliberate from 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m. with an hour-long lunch. They likely will wrap up deliberations early on Election Day so jurors who need to vote can do so.

Werlein told jurors last week they could set their own deliberations schedule.
