Well, well, well...NEW YORK, Nov. 9, 2004--U.S. officials believe with a high degree of confidence that a missing Southern Californian, Adam Gadahn, is the self-described American al Qaeda who threatened to kill thousands of his countrymen in a videotape obtained and broadcast by ABC News two weeks ago.
[snip]
Gadahn was born Adam Pearlman, the son of 1960s psychedelic musician Phil Pearlman, and raised in Orange County on a goat farm. He was home-schooled until the age of 15, at which point he moved in with his grandparents in Santa Ana.
At this point I have to quote John from DC over at
Americablog:
"Why do home schoolers hate America? "I have to disagree with JOhn on one point, though: he does mention "the religious right's favored tactic - find one bad apple and use that person to tarnish an entire group of Americans." At the very least, mentioning Gadahn as the poster child for what is wrong with home schooling will be a terrific way to miff the FReepers, Talibangelicals, and Ann Coulter worshippers that are driving this nation into the gutter.
