Younge : Bush isolated as speech to UN falls flat
George Bush was increasingly isolated on the global stage yesterday as he defied intense criticism from a litany of world leaders at the United Nations over the war on Iraq.

1. and not a sign of Blair.
Funny I knew his goose was cooked when he went with Bush. For some reason Bush burns all he gets near to.He is like the kid in Peanuts that always has the dirt coming off him and I just can not think of his name.Every one seems to be standing back and watching the bully get the pie in the face. Since we are the bully I do not like this at all.

2. The Reason
they keep getting burned is because they just don't get it about this regime. They can see how bad it is, but they figure they can't believe their eyes because the U.S. cannot be this irresponsible. SURPRISE! It is this irresponsible.

I ran into this in the run-up to the war with regular people. I said "There is no proof of all these WMD, Iraq cannot attack in 45 minutes." Intelligent people who aren't necessarily Bush-lovers said, "No way, he wouldn't lie to that extent." Also that we wouldn't go to war without a damn good reason.

Welcome to the new millennium, this is not your father's U.S.A.
