The Savage Nation vs. the Bushbots
<snip>
Al Franken and the other liberals are probably still wondering why they had such little luck in their efforts to start a talk-radio network to bash George Bush from the left. They didn't consider the obvious explanation. George Bush has his left flank nicely covered. It's on the right that he's weak.

...

"What makes Bush a conservative?" Savage asked when I got him on the phone the other day. "On the economy, Bush has got more governmental workers than anybody before him. He's ballooned the government."
As regards the so-called "war on terror," Savage points out that you can't win a war when you're afraid even to name the enemy.

"He's never mentioned Islamofascism," said Savage.

No, he hasn't. Even the French have been more willing to defend their borders, language and culture than Bush. He's a multiculturalist and a mushy one at that. Instead of reducing the reach of Islamic fundamentalism, Bush has managed in Iraq to get 1,700 Americans killed in a war that will create yet another Islamic republic. Just yesterday we learned that the new constitution in Iraq will incorporate sharia, Islamic law.

2. So when did Air America Radio Fail?
"Al Franken and the other liberals are probably still wondering why they had such little luck in their efforts to start a talk-radio network to bash George Bush from the left."

Oh really? The guy who wrote this article is an idiot. No one takes Savage Weiner seriously.

8. Yes it is.
Seriously, the fact that such a piece of scum as Weiner is on radio and television daily is a sad comment about the media and the USA in general.

10. Hmmm, maybe...
But isn't his show given away to local radio stations with no ratings to speak of as a package deal with other blowhards?

Just wondering...

4. "No one takes Savage Weiner seriously."
There is a certain segment of society that does take him seriously. They are characterized by dragging knuckles, and congregrate on Freerepublic. He validates what they believe but feel they cannot say in public.

5. savage weiner
I'm most pleased to see that someone else has taken to using the same appelation I(I thought independently) cooked up for the good herbalist. Savage weiner indeed. Is there a gene activated by participation in rightwing thought(?) that creates critters like the savage wener and man coulter?

9. I googled "Savage Weiner"
If wonder if these folks have googled their own name:

http://www.swcpa.com/

Almost every other hit is the Savage Weiner, aka "The scum left on top of the water after you boil wieners", that we all know.

6. The know nothings are in control.
I'm no fan of Paul Mulshine, and I'm certainly no fan of Mike Savage, but Mulshine (in his own bent way) comes close to hitting the nail on the head. A huge clot of apparently uninformed, and certainly uninterested Americans gave * and his neo-GOPers their endorsements in 2000 and 2004, and now, rather than responding with outrage to *'s shallow inconsistencies (to put it mildly), they seem content to roll over and pull blankets over their heads while telling themselves, "It's really okay. Everything's fine. No trouble here. If we pretend there aren't any problems then the problems will go away!"

If I were a traditional Republican, I'd be pissed as hell at * for renouncing almost every principle of his party, including small government, anti interventionism (nation building), and minimum federal debt. There's no need to itemize why Democrats loathe him.

What you have left is a huge chunk of citizenry who just don't give a shit that a misguided war is bleeding us dry and destroying a generation, and don't seem to care that an assault on personal freedom and civil rights threatens to turn them into citizen zombies.

It's pathetic.
