Bush deserved criticism



Wasn't it just horrible that President Bush had to endure criticism during the Coretta Scott King funeral service? The gall of those people. If they wanted to criticize Bush face to face, why didn't they just get tickets to one of his carefully scripted, members-only "town hall meetings"? Or go to the State of the Union wearing an anti-something or other T-shirt to protest him? Or try to get into one of his fund-raisers to state their displeasure with him?

Oh, that's right: Bush's handlers never let the sound of dissent within miles of the president, and his detractors have little choice but to grab their chance to berate him when the opportunity strikes, even if it just so happens to be at a funeral.

Impeach president


I have read and heard people say Congress should hold hearings to determine whether or not President Bush violated the FISA laws concerning wiretapping of American citizens. Why do we need hearings? We can go right to submitting the articles of impeachment to the Senate?
Bush himself has admitted to wiretapping Americans without warrants. As described by FISA, wiretapping Americans without a warrant can not be done unless it is an emergency, in which case the government has 72 hours in which to convince a judge that it has just cause to perform this activity at which point a judge will determine whether or not a warrant will be issued. Bush has calmly and deliberately, apparently under his own free will, admitted to intentionally violating the FISA laws. Where's the confusion here?

I don't know, but in my world when a person stands up and freely admits to a crime and brazenly declares he will continue to commit this crime, this person is handcuffed and hauled off to court to stand trial for his actions.
