And this is reason why he's doing this speech tonight--they are at their last straw with Mr. 29. Bush is being squeezed from both sides now--but only reacts when his base is in danger of jumping ship. Rightwingers are furious with him over his "weak" stand on immigration and are ready to impeach him over it! Glenn Greenwald quotes several of them on his blog today:

Until then, I am highly suspect. They do nothing unless there's something in it for them. Perhaps they feel they need to do something so they can keep their jobs in November. Who knows. It would be wonderful if this were true, I just think it's too good to be true at this point. But I'll hope it's true.
