The Phoenix is a small town newspaper that is owned by The Journal Registry Company.
The vice-president of the company and I sat in a small cluttered conference room. We were discussing the challenges and advantages of running a medium-sized business in Phoenixville. His monotone lecture was punctuated every few minutes by an occasional employee passing by the door, mindlessly shuffling the fruits of their labor at the copy machine down the hall. The conversation was getting boring.
What happened next was priceless: A closed door at the other end of the room suddenly opened and a young Latino male appeared. He looked startled and mumbled something that sounded like "pardon" or "excuse" and he quickly vanished behind the door. But the real treasure in my South American vision was that behind this man I saw a large narrow room lined with rows and rows of tall filing cabinets. And milling about these filing cabinets were rows and rows of Spanish people who looked just like our polite intruder!
