Louisville's Seelbach to host President Bush

07:21 PM EST on Sunday, February 18, 2007

WHAS-11 News has learned that President Bush is now planning a trip to downtown Louisville in less than two weeks.

The President will appear at a fundraiser for Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell, the senate minority leader.

The Presidential visit is scheduled for the first weekend in March at the Seelbach Hilton.

A source told WHAS-11 it will be a minimum $2,000 per person fundraiser.

Just yesterday, Mitch McConnell helped block a resolution critical of the president’s plan to send thousands more troops into Iraq.
