Edited on Wed Jan-07-04 10:59 AM by Ernesto
Looks like the "fox is guarding the hen house again".... "VOLUNTARY recalls & disclosures have worked fine for years." according to USDA officials

1. Maybe, and maybe not. See what DeHaven has to say about it
DeHaven is the Agriculture Department's chief veterinarian.

Quote: DeHaven, however, refused to say that the mad cow problem belongs to Canada. The highly integrated cattle industries in both countries produced cross-border sales of live animals and animal products of more than $2 billion last year.

"It's a North American issue. Has been. Continues to be," DeHaven said.

Irrespective of mad cow disease, people should not eat meat because of the use of hormones and so-called preventive antibiotics, as well as other antibiotics and unnatural elements given to animals which subsequently are introduced into the human system. If you eat meat, buy organic. You will pay more, but your health will have another layer of protection.
