We the Legacy

Legacy? I find that hard to believe, yet the contrived media sonderkommandos continue to give rave reviews to The Royal None Such. Even though most of them began their careers reading hog reports or giving the play by play on high school football games it still stretches the bounds of credibility. Making a career of asking the wrong questions and appealing to the lowest common denominator while reading advertisements for this weeks specials at the Piggly Wiggly.

Still the media persist, George W. Bush is worried about his legacy. An outrageous, asinine and insulting premise even from a craven subservient slobbering media. Does a six year old throwing a temper tantrum in Toys R Us worry about his legacy? No! He wants the damn toy that’s all period, that’s George W. Bush’s legacy and as usual the media is looking the wrong way. Over here fellas, We are George W. Bush’s legacy.

Every family that has lost a son or daughter in phony foisted media managed fiascoes are a part of the George W. Bush’s legacy. The millions who are losing their homes or jobs and the kids who can’t afford to go to college that’s all part of the legacy. Higher energy and food prices corrupted statistics, junk science and edited reports that’s all part of the legacy too. It’s like we are all George Bailey standing on that dark snowy bridge in Bedford Falls except this time we are praying it were George W. Bush that had never been born.

All of us except perhaps the profiteers and the profiteer’s stockholders they too are a part of the legacy. The millions around the world who have suffered and died from George W. Bush’s ideological None Such are a part of the legacy and their graves stand as a silent testament. A solemn refutation of Lincoln’s statement that “You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can’t fool all the people all the time.” Wrong Abe, you can fool 29% all the time then you buy some and muzzle the rest.

So do you build a library for a man that admittedly doesn’t read much? A place of learning to remember a man who refuses to learn? Wouldn’t it be a contradiction to open a place of education to remember a man who did nothing for education? A man whose greatest contribution is reading My Pet Goat and fiddling while Rome burned. A man who refused to be educated even when the tuition was being paid with the blood of others.

Maybe a secret memorial in an undisclosed location would be appropriate, with admission only to those already vetted. But there wouldn’t be much to see, as the documents are all classified, a tattered mission accomplished banner on the back wall and some plastic turkeys. No mention of the President’s errors in judgement would be found there as there won’t be enough room, the White House can barely contain them all now. But this is all idle speculation for you don’t build monuments to remember psychopaths you spend your lives trying to forget them.

We the Bush legacy are his monuments, the broken family’s the wounded veterans in squalid hospitals the have nots that have become the never wills.The never will have a family vacation or never will have a decent retirement. Proof positive that the Presidents war on terror is a fraud, for what he has done to working Americans is far worse than anything the terrorists ever could have dreamed of. We the legacy fight our own war on terror.

The terror of serious illness the terror of a decent future for our children and grandchildren in a poisoned polluted planet where opportunity depends on who your father was. But we are not alone, the Republican Party feels your legacy as well and fears for it’s future. Where it not for the corporately sponsored Democrats they would be finished and that’s probably the only bright spot in the legacy. The Republicans have been unmasked yet again for the phonies postulating family values while exporting jobs to countries supporting child labor and prostitution.

I wish I could say something nice about the Democratic Party. I’ll try, maybe the alarm clock just went off? Maybe they’re just not wide-awake yet? Maybe like Bush they don’t read all that much? About the people who fought and died and went to jail rather than back down in support of working people. Maybe they don’t understand that sometimes compromise is nothing more than a soft complicity. That in issues of wrong and right you can’t meet half way you can’t be half right if you’re all wrong!

That playing the angles is playing us for fools and we’ve grown weary. Trading a minimum wage increase for war funding is an insult to the American people trading life for poverty that’s what the Bush legacy has brought us to. Either stand up and fight for the American people or be gone, as you are redundant. We already have a party to support big business and we don’t need another.

Hillary Obama and Edwards the media anointed Democratic front runners have all given veiled references of support for an attack on Iran. Why? Why else? Iran has WMD’s of course and is trying to build nuclear weapons and wants to give them to terrorists and dominate the region. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and you’re pond scum. Too stupid or too cowardly to stand up and tell the truth that the problems is not Iran the problem is George W. Bush.

That’s a part of the legacy of George W. Bush and what he will be most remembered for, the lies, the half truths and prevarication’s that have sullied and mutilated our national dialogue until it becomes unintelligible. Until fact and fantasy become a matter of opinion and numbers become just meaningless statistics yet they are human statistics and deserve to be treated as such. For that also is part of the legacy, a callousness towards our own humanity.
