The biggest problem with the terror alert
(other than that it's totally made up :eyes:)

We can NEVER lower it. Right? I mean, if you were a terrorist, wouldn't you attack us the moment we ever lowered the alert to green/blue? By just having such a system, we're instantly required to keep it on high alert. It could at least pretend to be much more useful if they didn't tell the whole country the alert level. However, since it's all a publicity stunt anyway, that would just destroy the point. Just can't win. =\

1. Ah, but now they can claim
that the reason there was no terrorist attack (after they lower it from high back to normal) is because the terrorists were deterred...

What makes Green < Red and Orange > Yellow? Defcon at least uses numbers.

BTW... aren't those comparable? Does that mean we were at TerrorCon 2 over xmas and at TerrorCon 3 the entire rest of the time?

Didn't we spend MOST of the Cold War at DefCon 5 or 4?
