Mike Gravel is not a nut!
Saturday, December 15, 2007

Mike Gravel: The Zen daddy rolls a doobie for Jesus.

Politicians by American standards are usually exciting as telemarketers or car dealers. They come across as programmed robots and have no soul or style. They are devoid of any theatrical talent or spiritual insight. I would love to see Hillary swing on a stripper’s poll or Huckabee play his bass in a swimming pool during a Baptism plugged in! That would blow all our minds. Now watch this video and come back to me.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rZdAB4V_j8. Well, what did you think? My opinion no matter how minimalist the video is, it has profound message in it’s content. What is that message? an old man staring in the camera then throwing a rock in a lake? Shit no! You got to do better than that in your interpret skills. My take is: You can stare into the abyss and contemplate the universe or take action. Make ripples in a placid lake of life. That is essentially what Mike Gravel is doing with no money.
Mike Gravel was born May 13, 1930 to Catholic French-Canadian working class parents who were legal aliens. His mere linage makes him an organic subversive. He has dyslexia but yet was spy for the USA. Perseverance is an admirable trait. On the other hand, our present commander in chief has dyslexia and he deals with it by self-medicating. This is nothing to admire. Dyslexics unite! You have nothing to lose but your train of thought!
In our capitalist culture a serious candidate is an individual who has a well-oiled political machine and has lots of cash in their treasury. Does any body remember Ross Perot? Was he a serious candidate? He had money coming out of his elephant ears. It is no secret that our corporate media designate who be the front-runners of the presidential race. People like Dennis Kucinich or Mike Gravel are treated like kooks. Why? They have no corporate sponsorship! They mine as well be running as Green Party candidates.
To me, throwing away your vote is holding your nose and voting for lesser of 2 evils. Right now we are witnessing a televised circus of this political race for the presidency. Everybody knows the Republicans do not have a chance in hell to win, unless they hire Diebold to run the election and Karl Rove phoning it in. Which loser will the GOP pick to get buried in a Democratic landslide? Who cares? All I know I will vote for a candidate that meets my intellectual and spiritual needs and it ain't Hillary!
