1. Judging from what I heard, he made an end-run around that himself...
Writing and enacting a campaign finance law that pretends to address a problem, yet only provides cover for subversion of the stated intent is nothing short of heroism in the eyes of the lobbyists.

I'm kind of surprised they didn't sponsor a parade down K Street for McCain.
