The Army rolled out its latest recruiting incentive Tuesday for a local audience of soldiers, civic leaders and a few old veterans who gave the effort a snappy salute.

Cleveland is one of five test markets for the Army Advantage Fund which offers up to a $40,000 bonus for
Lt. Gen. Benjamin Freakley, head of the Accessions Command which covers Army recruiting and initial training, told his audience at the Crowne Plaza Hotel that the Advantage Fund is needed to keep the Army competitive with both private industry and other branches of the military...

"We must be creative and flexible to recruit and retain our best soldiers," he said...

If the Army Advantage Fund proves successful during the next six months of test marketing, it will be expanded nationwide...

1. Army gonna continue to send bills to grieving families when soldiers die
before their contracted obligations have been fulfilled?

They have done such a horrible thing in recent past. Have they stopped that shit?

If they are investing 40 grand per head, those heads are making a lot of money for somebody.

Is selling your body legal now? My, we have become a third world nation, complete with selling off out offspring (as a culture, this is exactly what it amounts to).

For fuck's sake, read some history. Otherwise you may end up doing something stupid.

Yeah, because if you don't pay them an extra $40k, McDonald's or Wal-Mart will outbid you.
