Editorial: After five years in Iraq, it's time to say 'no more'
The Traverse City Record-Eagle nails it. Just a beautiful place in northwest lower Michigan. I hope to retire there. Anyway, this is one worth reading:

Five years into the war in Iraq it is harder than ever to stomach the fact that just a handful of people, starting with George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, led this country to a needless and destructive war.

Looking back at the should-have-beens hunting down Osama bin Laden and creating a worldwide coalition against terror just makes it worse. Knowing that the war was based on a deliberate campaign of lies makes it infuriating. Watching the casualties on all sides pile up day after day makes it intolerable.

But this is where we are, thanks to Bush and Cheney, and this is where we'll be, in one way or another, for a long time to come.

The biggest casualty, beyond all the young men and women dead or maimed for life, is our sense of outrage. . . .
