There is only ONE country in the World that scares me,our neighbor - the United States of America
.
.
.

I am not concerned that China will invade

I am not worried about Russian nukes flying over the North Pole

I am not overly concerned about India's labor force putting us Canuks out of work.

I AM HOWEVER CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT THE USA MIGHT BRING TO OUR DOORSTEP IN THE EVENT OF GLOBAL WAR.

Unfortunately, due to the Soviet scare back in the 60's we have ICBM silos a half hour drive away from where I live.

They were purported to be armed in the sixties, but since removed.

With Harper in power, it would not surprise me that they are rearmed.

Just the fact the silos are there makes us a target.

Out of all the countries in the world, I just fear one

USAmerica

Well Done George

You too, Dick

1. The only country that scares me is the US too - and I've lived here all my life.

2. I don't blame you
You realize, of course, that the US is the only country to have used nuclear weapons on the cities of another country. I've been concerned about my nation ever since I was aware of history.

3. I don't blame you, it scares me too. That's why I'm so concerned
with this election. BO is an unknown except in the books he's written and the tapes of Wright. He hasn't been seasoned, he really scares me, so does McCain. That leaves Hillary, whom I've always respected but didn't think a woman could win. When I think of all the good choices we had why has it come to this.

4. Because the media picked our candidates for the histrionic
drama. All the gnashing of teeth and knives in the back.

This fucking election has been turned into a damn tawdry tacky soap opera.

5. "election has been turned into a damn tawdry tacky soap opera" - ain't that the truth.

Democrats sniping at each other while the PNAC gang sit back and laugh.

The Democratic Party failed to put up a united front, and that's what the United States needs right now

To be UNITED.

. . (sigh) . .

6. I too am afraid of the U.S. and it is where I was born and raised!
If I lived in Canada, I would also be worried about the corruption to your own system. One thing that really bothers me is that Canada and America can now help each other in times of domestic issues like martial law. What this tells me is that if either of our corrupt decide to carry out something that our own military or police forces wont support, the other country's military can now come into the others country to help.

We have enough military and police to handle domestic issues if needed and I don't think the two countries citizens would want another countries military carrying out martial law in their home.

7. Remember the words of a 19th-Century Mexican President ...
"Poor Mexico -- so far from God, and so close to the United States!"

8. Reminds me of an old post of mine - - "And God Created Canada"
.
.
.

And God Created Canada

Finally a joke that explains what it's like to be Canadian..

Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven, God went
missing for six days. Eventually, Michael the archangel
found him, resting on the seventh day. He inquired of God,
"Where have you been? "

God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed
downwards through the clouds, "Look Michael, look what
I've made." Archangel Michael looked puzzled and said,

"What is it?"

"It's a planet," replied God," and I've put LIFE on it. I'm
going to call it Earth and it's going to be a place of great
balance. Balance? inquired Michael.

Northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and
wealth while Southern Europe is going to be poor;
the Middle East over there will be a hot spot.
Over there I've placed a continent of white people and
over there is a continent of black people," God continued,
pointing to different countries. "This one will be extremely
hot and arid while this one will be very cold and covered in ice."

The Archangel, impressed by Gods work, then pointed to
a large landmass in the top corner and asked, What's that one?
Ah, said God. That's Canada, the most glorious place on Earth.
There are beautiful mountains, lakes, rivers, streams and an
exquisite coastline. The people from Canada are going to be
modest, intelligent and humorous and they're going to be f
ound travelling the world. They'll be extremely sociable, hard
working and high achieving, and they will be known throughout
the world as diplomats and carriers of peace.

I'm also going to give them super-human, undefeatable
ice hockey players who will be admired and feared by all who
come across them. Michael gasped in wonder and admiration
but then proclaimed; "What about balance, God? You said there
will be BALANCE!"

God replied wisely. "Wait until you see the loud-mouth bastards
I'm putting next to them...."
