The brand new, “Grapes of wrath” is among us, or has it always been with us? The spirit of John Steinbeck is in every progressive being in the USA. The heartland in the homeland is going through tough times! …And yes…. we are talking about the White working class. What Obama uttered in some meeting is absolutely true! He wasn’t making a value judgment but merely stating a fact.
For decades now, the White working class has been getting the brunt of the class system in the USA. They have had no way of venting their frustration. The ultra right smells frustration then seduces them with the blame game, from the KKK to the GOP. It’s the old, “Divide conquer” game. Divide the working class into racial warfare, while the ruling class fuels the fire. They remain safe in their gated mansions. They are dividing the Mid-East among Muslims like Shiite and Sunnites. Can you imagine if they unite? Then the Conservative elites alibi is, that is an ancient rivalry and U.S Imperialism is the referee of Democracy and will unite them under the flag of freedom. One problem with that proposition is that it was them who cause it. No, I am not blaming America first, but I am blaming corporate imperialism. It works the same way with racism. The WASP ruling class never directly speaks to the White working class, but through their media send out innuendos on TV screens like stories of crime, illegal aliens, rapes and Hollywood sex scandals. They intimate that the Republican Party is fighting for the white race and we are all in this together. On TV screens they have images of non-white people committing crimes, which ignites racist feelings. Passive-aggressive racism causes the political right to accuse the left of racism when they are perpetrators. Hell, this article could be accused of racism because I indicted the WASP ruling class.
The Heartland has become a giant White Ghetto. That’s why white kids love rap music, it’s a conduit to vent their frustrations. The white poor is doing all they can to survive. They are even doing illegal activity to survive. Selling dope, prostitution, car theft rings, and good old fashion robbery. The former Soviet Union is now a 3rd world white country as well as Northern Ireland. So what’s the moral of this story? Race does not matter but class does. If you are poor, your skin color does not matter only your hunger does. Obama is correct!!!!!!!!!!!!!
