McCain is the loser in Pennsylvania
---

The enthusiastic way Democrats trooped to the polls on Tuesday can't be good news for the Republicans, who'll send John McCain out in November to face the Democratic nominee, almost certainly Obama.

The conventional wisdom , spun by the Clinton campaign and reinforced by opinion polls showing that a significant number of Clinton Democrats say McCain is their second choice, is that Obama can't win in November.

The Democratic base of working-class whites will desert Obama, they say. If he can't win the primaries in big Democratic states -- California, New York, Ohio or Pennsylvania -- he can't beat McCain.

The conventional wisdom, as it is so often, is wrong.

1. Bad, bad night for him
With the Democrats coming out in huge numbers and he lost a significant portion of the Republican vote to guys no longer in the race.

Real bad night.

2. That's the only thing that keeps me optimistic.
The way we're tearing each other to shreds, we HAVE TO keep up the high turnout in the GE.

Polls can't predict massive turnout, right?

4. County by county, the losing Dem had a higher count than all the Reps.
Republicans are wildly uninterested in their ticket.

5. LOL - It was the Old, Uneducated, White voters that won it for Hillary - McCain's base!
Which of course he will reclaim in November.

8. Are you going to work for McCain?

Help him hold onto those "old, uneducated, white voters?" Or is it just that you want us all to know that it's hopeless ahead of time?

9. Nope, see I'm a REAL Democrat, I don't go around praising the enemy like the Clintons do.
And I'm also in touch with reality, something Hillary and her supporters seem to have no concept of.

Give 'em a choice between a real Republican and a Democrat acting like a Republican and they'll go for the Real Republican every time.

10. Eh, OK.
Allow me to suggest that going on about old, uneducated, white voters and their allegiance to McCain is probably not a good way to help Obama win in November.
