conservative columnist: Kathleen Parker: After Interviews, Palin Should Bow Out
Conservative columnist Kathleen Parker, admitting that until recently she was a vocal supporter of Sarah Palin, now says the vice presidential nominee should bow out:

Some of the passionately feminist critics of Palin who attacked her personally deserved some of the backlash they received. But circumstances have changed since Palin was introduced as just a hockey mom with lipstick -- what a difference a financial crisis makes -- and a more complicated picture has emerged.

As we've seen and heard more from John McCain's running mate, it is increasingly clear that Palin is a problem. Quick study or not, she doesn't know enough about economics and foreign policy to make Americans comfortable with a President Palin should conditions warrant her promotion.

Parker says her turnaround came from watching Palin in interview. Like other critics, she wasn't impressed:

Palin's recent interviews with Charles Gibson, Sean Hannity, and now Katie Couric have all revealed an attractive, earnest, confident candidate. Who Is Clearly Out Of Her League.

1. Kathleen Parker is a moron, but she's right.
What did she expect?? Just seeing Palin on that little clip where she says "What does the VP do all day?" was all I needed to know what kind of mind Palin has.

3. I'll get right back to ya about that
Some of us took about 10 minutes of research to determine that Palin was a dangerous ignorant person chosen to put lipstick on the pig of the failed McCain campaign in an obvious political stunt, a dangerous political stunt in that it would put a person wholly unqualified into the presidency on the demise of the ailing head of the ticket, by a politician whose theme is ironically 'Country First'.

4. Why are Conservatives so willing to repent in leisure?
Initial excitement? Sure. But why endorse someone with all these negatives, and then withdraw that endorsement only after everyone else in the country has already figured it out, and only when it turns out your pig can't even put on her lipstick straight; ie, she isn't quick on her feet?

5. Just a few days ago
Parker was spewing about Rev Wright. Rev Wright! And saying nothing about the witch hunter annointing of Palin or the sermon Palin heard recently that said suicide bombers are God's way of punishing Jews for not becoming 'Christians'.
Parker is late on the draw, and shows herself to be willing to support whatever is put in front of her, without inspection, for far too long. She helped promote Palin as worthy of high office, and no one should ever forget that utter lack of judgment, that vicious partisanism that replaces patriotism in the likes of Parker and Palin, and of course McKeating himself.

9. I absolutely LOVE the pickle McPOW is in...
Keep the dimwit (the one with glasses, just to be clear) and watch her drag you down, or ditch her, and have everyone questioning your judgment to have ever picked her in the first place. I guess if they could in fact convince her to step down, they could try to spin it as her choice, and they supported her all the way, but I doubt anybody would believe it (who isn't already voting for McPOW). But I'm not too sure she'd step down voluntarily anyhow, being as she has "Gods" work to do. You really screwed the pooch this time, you senile old fuck!

10. Yes, it's fun but.......
the Republicans could always claim Palin is quitting for Personal Reasons, like maybe her Down's Syndrome son is having some problems. (Then when she writes her tell-all book in a few years she will confess that was just a ruse the GOP forced on her to cover up dumping her.)

The worse case senario is she quits, and the Republicans blame it on us for being so "mean" to Princess Palin. Of course, no one with brains will buy that. :)

11. Why does it take Conservatives so long to get what we know right away?
That's the question.

I mean really: A woman who was mayor of a pop. 7000 town for six years and the Governor for 19 months of a state having fewer residents than any major Lower-48 city turns out to be over her head? Whodda thunkit??
