Obama's stimulus plan needs more infrastructure spending
The stimulus package gives $300 billion in tax cuts and provisions, a nod to the Republicans. Tax cuts didn't work when President Bush created them and it won't work now. People are losing their jobs, their health insurance and their homes. $500 tax rebates won't help anyone and they won't stimulate the economy.

President Obama spent a lot of time with Republicans, listening to their concerns and then following through by addressing those concerns. None of the Republicans voted for his stimulus package. Maybe it's time for the new president to listen to voters concerns. He convinced us that rebuilding and repairing the infrastructure would go a long way towards creating jobs. We need jobs Mr. President, not tax cuts.

1. He'll put it in the Senate Bill. The last excuse repubs gave for not passing was infrastructure
as in, not enough infrastructure improvements in the package. I predict that the Senate will put it in and the repubs will not be able to bitch about it in the house!

Obama just declared two states as disaster areas as a result of the failure electrical lines during the recent ice storm... He is setting it up and has been from the beginning.

2. I hope you're right
Tax cuts failed when Bush tried them and I don't think they will work now. We need more spending on infrastructure as well as mass transit.
