Jobs - Going, Going, Gone - Duty Free from Mexico - Screw the Middle Class

NAFTA corridor has given way to Chinese goods corridor
2006

Many of the reports have sought to reopen the debate over the North American Free Trade Agreement, which allowed many U.S. factories to relocate to Mexico, laying off thousands of American workers and replacing them with much cheaper labor south of the border. Some reports have taken an alarmist tack, claiming that further economic integration of the United States and Mexico would lead to a political union that would open America to mass migration and political corruption on a scale that would destroy U.S. institutions, culture and sovereignty.

2. The ports in CA (as well as the U.S. Union labor) are too expensive. China via Mex. was the plan...
from the get-go. Not to mention they won't have to deal with any pesky environmental laws and Mexican truck drivers probably aren't bound by the same U.S. regulations that keep our guys from driving 24 hours a day. Viva Free Trade!!!

At this point, our only recourse is to stop consuming.

4. Yea, they're going to get a ton of tourists to drive through Tijuana
to get there, and then wait 2+ hours at the border to get home. Yea, I can see it now.

Proposed Trans-Texas Corridor highway has valuable ideas, needs public input

When you have a Texas Oil Billionaire, T Boone Pickens talking about Wind Power and you have a highway that needs to be a quarter mile wide, that kicks in my What the Fuck part of my brain. Now you know the good old boys have been and are buying up prime property, Then take the money allocated for wind power to run and build this highway down the same road, so your tax dollars will be buying up and taking (Immanent Domain) ranches and other property then make billions more reselling or opening businesses along corridor and new power lines, grid.

You have a Texas Oily Billionaire talking about and spending his own money, something is really fishy.
