Pelosi And Reid Must GO!* Enough of Teatime with Vegas Real Estate!
Pelosi and Reid Must Go* We need Democrats in the TV positions who .. I dont know SAY SOMETHING! Enough of their Vegas Real Estate Tea Party.

The Corporate Dems are being "outclassed" by the Republicans! ie more class consciousness! How is this sick Orwellianism possible. Only because the Corporate Dems are paid to shut up!

1. The DLC has to die and disappear - when did the DLC begin, anyway, what year?
Let's discuss this. How it began, who started it, why, what they stand for...

7. Re "CLASSY"
Great Idea to discuss the history of the DLC Will start thread. THis is necessary!

Best source just happens to be Richard Morris bio of the Clintons -- and best bio of US politics since 1968-- Partners In Power. Nobody can by cynical enough about DLC without reading this one!!!!!!!!!!!

ALSO NOTE TO EVERYONE ABOU """ OUTCLASSED"" I WAS INTENDING BY THIS TERM TO IRONICALLY POINT OUT THAT SOMEHOW EVEN THE RAW CORPORATE SCUMBAG RUBPUGS WERE SOUNDING OUT-- SHERELY FOR ORPORTUNISTIC AND DECEPTIVE REASONS-- MORE CLASS RESENTMENT THAN THE DEMOCRATS. MY INTENT WAS TO POINT OUT JUST WHAT THIS PROFOUNDEST OF IRONIES MEANS ABOUT JUST HOW BOUGHT AND PAID FOR TODAYS DEMS ARE.

Of course in no way did I mean that the Republicans were "classsy" MY geothermal bad, I didnt put enough context in to make my irony legible.

By the way classy in the sense of a complement is my least favorite word in the english language.

8. DLC R' Wall Street
Im almost certain the year was 1986. Bill Clinton was virtually there from the beginning. The front name was Al From. By the way it might be good to go to their website in order to deconstruct it, to put it politely. WHAT A SURPRISE THAT THIS CORPORATE CREW SHOULD BE THE LEADING ADVOCATES OF THE POST-PARTISAN RHETORICAL TRIPE.

Can anyone here think of a singel important example of when Bipartisan did not in actuallity mean the Democrats caving in and moving to the right. OF course that doesnt preclude times when SOME legislation was passed, but the question is in what political context.

4. Well, we agree on one thing. Pelosi and Reid must go.
Ok, two..."the Corporate Dems are paid to shut up".

I think the rest is gibberish, though.

5. While I totally agree with you that they should be GONE - there is NO CHANCE IN HELL
Edited on Sun Mar-22-09 08:58 AM by TankLV
that Reid will be "gone"...

He's MY senator, and there is nobody who will or can successfully run against THE MOST POWERFUL SENATOR IN THE SENATE!!!

Not gonna happen.

He's the "most powerful" AND he's from the LEAST IMPPORTANT STATE in the union - so that cinches his continued occupation of that office.

Only HIS decision to RETIRE will allow any change - and that ain't commin for a LONG TIME!!!

reality bites, I know...I have to suffer under "Searchlite Harry" - a moniker I've given him when every time I've been anyplace to discuss issues with him - especially anything critical of him - he launches into "when I was a boy growing up in hardscrabble Searchlite, Nevada..." bullshit and completely ignores the question, and everyone else "politely" coughs and makes that nervous "laugh"...and the last time was when with a meeting AT the "Stonewall Democratic Club" in a private Stonewall Democrat's home...!!! Even fellow gay activists won't do anything so "impolite" as to bring up serious discussion topics or anything "critical"!!!

6. "Outclassed" My Backside
Edited on Sun Mar-22-09 09:22 AM by NikolaC
I agree with you that Reid and Pelosi are terrible and need to be replaced with real, strong leadership in the House and Senate. I also agree that corporate money seems to have more of a voice with too many Dems than the people do. That is where my agreement with you ends. There is no damn way on this earth that the Repugs have exhibited more class than anyone in this situation. They have been whiney, crass, bratty, greedy, rude, selfish, obnoxious, throwing tantrum after tantrum, which is basically more of the same with them. Boxer, Feingold, Kucinich and Wexler, just to name a few, run circles around those goons in the "class" department.

9. channel limbaugh and hannity much?
when i hear limbaugh and hannity saying something over and over and over and over criticizing dems while spending 20 years making excuses for every GOP corruption and incompetence, and then i hear those same talking points repeated, i figure the opposite is probably best.
