This week at Obama's second official press conference he repeated at
least twice that the best way to fix the budget was to reduce health
care costs. And we all know the best way to reduce health care costs
is to implement the vastly more efficient single payer system (HR
676), for which we have long advocated.
Also this week new Senator Jeff Merkley from Oregon stepped up to the
plate to support single payer. We need to thank Senator Merkley, and
continue to speak out so all the others in both the House and Senate
know that this is what the American people want. This is the moment
we can make single payer a reality if we KEEP speaking and encourage
everyone else we know to do the same.
