The story of the Pittsburgh cop killer Richard Poplawski get more sordid today. Seems he was all worried about conspiracy theories that featured Zionist control of the known universe. Screws loose, for sure, and ripe for the revolution talk by Republicans Bachman, Turner Diaries and Beck. SPLC working overtime today, for sure.

5. Has anybody found more definite links to Glenn Beck?

Glenn is far out there but I've never heard him say anything about a Zionist conspiracy taking over America. Beck and other RW talkers were valid suspects at first but it looks like the killer was way to the right of even them.

even though it would be nice to pin on Beck. This goes way beyond even Glenn Beck's form of hysteria. It said that he had an account on stormfront.org which is one of the premier white power sites on the web. I saw something interesting on his friends myspace too. He had the film Zeitgeist linked to his page. Zeitgeist is a movie pretty big in one world government conspiracy circles. I have seen it and I know it is up on google video. The NWO conspiracy people are much more extreme in their beliefs than your typical Fox news watcher and when you mingle it with a "Zionists control everything" conspiracy it can be a heady coctail for trouble. I would be interested if this guy listened to people like Alex Jones. While Jones doesn't promote violence in his films and writings I can see someone who wasn't entirely stable running with it and doing some damage. Jones has a new movie out about Obama which I tried watching but couldnt get through it was some pretty insane stuff.

I have seen a lot of displeasure with the policies of Israel especially when the Gaza/Israeli conflict was going on. I understand peoples displeasure with a country that bombs UN hospitals and know what they are doing when they do it. Call it anti-semitism if you wish, I choose calling it humanity.

not like on the extremist right. But I have seen it. Such anti-Israeli sentiment covering over anti-semitic feeling is more prevalent in Europe, of course.

I don't disagree that there are factions especially in Europe that use anti Israel sentiment to mask their anti-semitism. I am saying I don't see that at all on DU, the poster above said he did. I tend to have a little more respect for the posters on here.

16. I live in western NC. Friend of mine works in the county gun permitting office.

She tells me that since Obama won the election, the number of applications has increased nearly 90% because people "are afraid Obama is going to take their guns away." I can't friggin believe how stupid people are. I guess the Right knows if you repeat the lie often enough, mercilessly, people will start to slobber and nod.
