As Coleman’s hope dims, pursuit of seat questioned (The Hill)

... On Tuesday, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine for the first time explicitly called on Coleman to end his legal challenge ...

“He’s cooked,” one veteran GOP campaign operative said of Coleman’s chances following the ruling. “At this point, continuing to carry on only damages his brand for future bids for office” ...

The court found Minnesota did its best to provide uniform standards for counting ballots, which “will make it very hard for Coleman to persuasively argue to a majority of either the state Supreme Court or the U.S. Supreme Court that there was a constitutional violation in how this recount was conducted,” said Rick Hasen, an election law expert at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and author of the Election Law Blog ...

1. They don't care - they knew he didn't have a chance
The goal has always been to prevent it as long as possible

2. I think this stopped being Coleman's decision some time ago.
He won't be able to run in Mn for any elective office, so his only option in politics will be within the RNC of as a lobbyist. He is doing what the RNC tells him to do as they own his soul. Their only plan all along was to delay Franken being sworn in as long as possible and in that they have succeeded well so far.

3. Coleman's problem is that he
doesn't believe in anything. He has no principles.
