Pelosi: CIA lied to me about waterboarding
By Mike Soraghan and Jared Allen
Posted: 05/14/09 11:23 AM

... "Those briefing me gave me inaccurate and incomplete information," Pelosi told reporters at her weekly news conference, which was dominated by discussions about waterboarding and Pelosi's briefings. "At the same time, the Bush administration was misleading the American people about the threat of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq."

Asked if she was saying the briefers had lied to her, she said yes. She said she agreed that the CIA should release notes of the briefing, as Republicans have requested ...

... Pelosi said that she was specifically told in the briefing that waterboarding was not being used.

"The only mention of waterboarding at that briefing was that it was not being employed," said Pelosi, who was briefed then as the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee ...

3. If WE knew it, so did she
Had she just said she knew about it but felt the time to protest wasn't right then she could have sidestepped half of the counter-charge. That fib has know BECOME the distraction.

5. Three basic rules: (1) Ahead of the pack = not in congress (2) Behind the pack = not in Congress
(3) Surrounded by the pack on all sides = potentially in Congress

4. Sorry, lame
I had a TS& C clearance and that is as high as the clearances go. After that everything is need to know.

NONE of the nondisclosure documents I signed (and I promised not to go to Israel for 7 years) suggested that I couldn't reveal CRIMINAL behavior being hidden by the missuse of assignments of confidentiality.

Pelosi was cowed. Pure and simple. I am pretty confident that the UN will see it exactly the same way.

It is WAY past time to start playing with the prosecution Nancy.

6. Excuse me if agasin I query why the attacks on Pelosi who may or may
not have known or had proof when our current president does definitively know and does have extraordinary proof and does nothing? The Pelosi era of responsibility is over. We need Barack Obama to do what he was elected to do and swore to do: honor our Constitution and our laws. He famously said that no one was above the law, but he apparently only talks a good game.
