... And just a media hop away is no less than Dick Cheney to tell us it doesn't make us safer. It will make us less safe. President Obama's policies, he says, will "sacrifice" Americans. To whom or for just what is unsaid. No one or nothing good certainly.

If the public is about to play the lamb in some bloody Democratic rite, it hasn't noticed. A CNN poll in April found that 26 per cent of us think Obama's policies have made us more vulnerable to terrorist attack; 72 per cent think not.

National life has seemed on balance rather placid in recent months but, folks, fear is back. It is in again, just in time to save from atrophy our muscle memory for cringing and cowering. With Ronald Reagan it was morning in America, no matter what. With Cheney it is forever night.

Congressional Republicans have introduced their Keep the Terrorists Out of America Act, a partisan stunt against Guantanamo's scheduled closing ...

5. The video from the youtube channel via gop.gov shows they're redoubling the efforts
It worked for them during the Bush era, and it's pretty much all they've got now -- so expect a new blast of this crap

Cheney, et al are only preaching to the little 26% or so choir.

4. Cheney himself has ratings below 20%
Fairly far below IIRC.

So if he doesn't STFU, that 26% should drop into cheney territory soon.
