Paul B. Farrell: Righteous Right leads us straight to WWIII
By Paul B. Farrell, MarketWatch

ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. (MarketWatch) -- World War III is coming. Iraq and Afghanistan? Just warm-up acts. Foreign-policy blunders with huge economic consequences: Massive domestic debt handicapping future generations. But still just warm-up acts.

The main event: WWIII will engulf America in a "New Age of Warfare" with trillions and trillions and trillions of new debt, year after year after year. Yet we're silent, in denial. Nobody's talking about all this new debt ahead.

World War III: The Pentagon warns of "the mother of all national security issues ... By 2020 there is little doubt something drastic is happening," military officials told Fortune. "As the planet's carrying capacity shrinks, an ancient pattern of desperate, all-out wars over food, water, and energy supplies would emerge ... warfare is defining human life." This is a real game-changer, a paradigm shift, a turning point in human history, altering civilization. Listen closely:

WWIII: 'The mother of all national security issues'

Still you're in denial? Can't see, hear, believe? You hope we come back?

WWIII: 'By 2020 there is little doubt something drastic is happening'

More denial. We think short-term, this quarter, this election cycle. It'll work out.

WWIII: 'The planet's carrying capacity is shrinking'

And yet still you refuse to listen. It all sounds too eco-freak lefty.

WWIII: 'Desperate, all-out wars over food, water, and energy supplies'

Still you dismiss it as hype, propaganda, brainwashing from the Pentagon war machine.

And, yes, historians and shrinks agree you will stay in denial ... till it's too late.

Proof? Remember Jeremy Grantham. A savvy investor managing $100 billion in assets. Listen to his take on the 2008 meltdown: "Several dozen people saw this crisis coming for years. It seemed so inevitable and so merciless. Yet the bosses of Merrill Lynch and Citi, even Paulson and Bernanke, none saw it coming." ............(more)

2. What's with the style?
Those with something to communicate honestly can do so without the personalized hyperbole and status games. The content is very interesting, but lost within a mountain of stylistic choices that make it sound, perhaps intentionally, sort of off kilter. The author's main point is that he is 'aware' and others are 'in denial'. Things that are about fact do not need that, and such tactics just make the actual points vanish in a heap of showmanship, or probably salesmanship.
In 2003, this guy was pushing a book called 'the Millionaire Code' which claimed to teach you a personal path to wealth. A four letter 'code' to get rich. 6 years later, it is a different tale. I've seen him on Fox, I think.
He's selling stuff. Stuff for sale. That is his wealth code, if you ask me. Some of the content I may or may not agree with, but the methods and style and the sales objective are not my thing.

3. We need it, unfortunately
We have let the US be taken over by neo-Nazis, and thus will need another WW to extricate ourselves.

4. Odd because the Democrats
(you know the ones in power) have continued the Bush/Cheney terror doctrine wholesale. Obama has massively ramped up indiscriminate drone attacks in his secret wars in Yemen, Pakistan, and Somalia.

You people need to wake up. This is our government. Period. It doesn't matter which mascot they parade around this stuff continues.

5. My favorite comment from his readers;
"Wow Mr. Farrell! That was as close to split personality as I want to come. But entertaining! You, however, cannot keep going on like this indefinitely and there's years of broken dreams ahead of us all.
As a fan of yours, but loosing interest in how many ways you can treat the same bleak subject, may I humbly suggest you try a new approach? I'm thinking: historical perspective. What most of your readers don't know well is that there have been many "panics" and "downturns" and "depressions" in just the short span of time we've had an "economy" in this Nation. Just a thought." This is from an earlier post.

I like Paul, don't get me wrong, but he is a doomster. He is right half the time.
