"Lift Every Voice" has posted its "Declaration on Christianity and the Future of America" drafted by over 1,000 progressive Christians as an alternative to the Christian Right. It has a growing list of endorsements...

3. I think it's a waste of time.

Falwell, Robertson and Gay Paul Crouch will torpedo it. They've got the masses brainwashed into thinking that Jesus will be back in a week or 2.
I just look at all the damage and destruction Christians are doing and it's time to finally stand up to these ignorant thugs.

4. The direction for this project....

is to extend it beyond just Christianity and create an inter-faith set of declarations against the Christian Right. If this became international, they could torpedo it all they want to.
