A Question For Anyone Who Watched Wash. Journal Today
Sometime in the first half-hour, Slen read bits a pieces of story on Grover Norquist. I didn't catch which paper it was in.

However, in that piece Norquist is quoted as saying, "I feel about the left the way Rumsfeld felt about the Iraqis."

I wrote C-SPAN a letter questioning the editorial judgment that would allow such a hateful comment to be read on the air. The idea that liberals are equatable with a horrible dictator with an abiding hatred for America is insulting in the extreme. I told them so and requested a reply, although they usually don't do so.

Anyway, i'm just wondering if anybody else saw this & knew which paper it was in. I'd like to write a Letter To The Editor to that paper to question their editorial judgment as well. (As long as it wasn't the Washington Times. If it was them, that explains everything.)

Any help on this would be appreciated.

1. Sorry, I didn't catch it.
But I could not refrain from acknowledging what an abominable and detestable comment that is.

Grover Norquist is a major-league prick.

I cannot wait until he is hoisted by his own pitard. At some point most eventually are...

4. I Heard That
this morning and I couldn't believe my ears/eyes.

Now they are trying to make Grover Norquist into a loveable kinda guy and then shoot themselves in the foot with that quote.

What does that mean Grover? You (and Anthrax Coulter) want to 'shock and awe' the left? since we all know what Cheney thinks of those Iraqis.

That was a real disgusting quote from that freak.

7. Grover's photos with bin Laden family/terrorist money men are off his site
Does that mean Grover is sensitive to photo's of the Bush gang with their oil friends pre-911?

As far as I know, Grover is still milking the Saudi's for money for the GOP via his Arab buddy org sites

5. It's a very interesting comment on Rummy's attitude to Iraqis also

from the WP link above

"Democrats used to anger him, Norquist said. He's past angry now. "Do you get mad at cancer? We'll defeat and crush their institutions, and the trial lawyers will go sell pizza. We're not going to hang them. Most of the people on the left will be happy in Grover's world. I feel about the left the way Rumsfeld felt about the Iraqis." "

6. "Give 'em Enough Rope" Strategy
Used to be one of the mainstream's most effective tools against both the right and the left.

the more exposure this guy's views get, the better for us all.

8. However
The article, while i admit is a news piece, makes no comment about such a hateful comment. These types of pieces need some editorial comment, even if just a (sic), so that it's clear that the Post is disavowing the comment but left it as said.

I am even more upset that C-SPAN read that piece of the article without giving viewers a comment time. If they weren't going to make that article the point of discussion, they should not have read such an inflammatory comment. It was incredibly bad judgment on C-SPAN's part.

And, don't forget, there's 25% or so of the electorate for whom that comment is no problem. So, i'm not sure the "light of day" concept is valid.
