Have you considered the brilliance of Suskind...
Every one is buzzing O'Neill, O'neill....

The real buzz is SUSKIND's book. So the Bushites attack O'Neill, nice diversion, but it doesn't change the fact that the BOOK is based on interviews with hundreds of people.

What they are trying to do now is reign in the 19,000 pages from public consumption. That is the damage. But the Book is almost out so there's nothing they can do to stop the public from reading the book and surreptitiously reading what's in the 19,000 pages.

So essentially they have, by sitting on this and doing the whole book, blown the whole jig because it seems impermeable to damage control...

Every action taken so far in defense of the book sounds an awful lot like finger nails scratching on a coffin lid...

1. Yes, Suskind is awesome...

I think that when the media turn sup the heat, they are going to let fly something even more incredible from the book.

Basically let the media spin itself into oblivion.

2. I can't wait to get my copy
With the 60 Minutes interview, this has to hit the NYT list. I'm hoping for #1.

And yes, Suskind was brilliant (imagine, a journalist doing research, for a change!). Discreditting O'Neill does the Bushies no good whatsoever.
