RNC Head Gillespie Admits "Clinton Death List" Was a LIE
Yeah, he's trying to pretend that any criticism of the Chimp is wrong...but check out this throwaway...

"National Republican Party Chairman Ed Gillespie acknowledges that while Democrat Bill Clinton was president, some Republicans went too far in their attacks.
Take, for example, the oft-repeated accusation that Clinton was involved in the death in 1993 of then-aide Vince Foster, which authorities ruled was a suicide.
"Bill Clinton did a lot of bad things, but he didn't murder anyone," Gillespie said in an interview Friday, during a stop here to promote his party and its policies. "

How many taxpayer MILLIONS did Dan Burton, Robert Ray and Ken Starr waste on OFFICIAL Congressional investigations of that?

2. Gosh, Ed, how big-hearted and non-partisan of you!
Wow, ten years after the fact, he's willing to admit that "some Republicans went too far" in their hard-on for Clinton.

Well color me astonished!

3. this asshole compares "miserable failure" to MURDER??
:wtf:

snip-

Gillespie's point was that such down-and-dirty Republican blasts against Clinton came from "fringe" folks, not the GOP establishment. He contrasts that with what he views as over-the-line attacks now by Democratic leaders, union activists and aligned groups like MoveOn.org as they target President George W. Bush.

"They should be fringe, but they're not," Gillespie said. He singled out former Vice President Al Gore's assertion that the president is "a moral coward" beholden to special interests, and Democratic presidential hopeful Richard A. Gephardt's repeated dubbing of Bush's tenure as "a miserable failure."

"Presidential candidates never used to say things like that," Gillespie said. "I think there's something not healthy going on."

10. What a self-serving prick. He just admitted that the Clinton Witchhunt
was politically motivated. Why else would he have kept quiet all these years? What's wrong Gillespie? Did you just figure out that your man and party can't withstand the same level of scrutiny? Well pucker up, 'cuz here we come!

Is he trying to innoculate bush and cheney against charges that they have killed ?

Sounds like an attempt to Say "There were such rumors About Clinton too and they were not true either".

Or maybe they need Clinton now......I wonder why?......testimony to 9/11 Commission?

19. It is part of the republican strategy to define the democratic party
as an angry party offering nothing positive. The strategy was described in a memo sent to republican politicians, strategists and consultants, party activists, obedient media and republican pundits by Gillespie a few months ago. This line in the article is an exact quote from that memo:
"As the Democratic Party gets smaller, it becomes increasingly more liberal, elitist and angry, and as it becomes increasingly more liberal, elitist and angry, it gets smaller."

Gillespie uses this line often.

15. This needs to be used to anger the republican base.
The DNC needs to target every Clinton critic who can plausibly fall within Gillespie's characterization and make sure that those critics know that they have been accused by Bush's RNC chairman of going too far. Millions of people in the republican base hate Clinton more than they like Bush. Millions more in the republican base are always warily waiting to be betrayed so that they can have a new target for their insatiable hunger to hate. This could really hurt the republican party if an ugly fight developed within its ranks.

if it weren't for the Clinton hate. Bush is NOT Clinton and they would willingly follow him into hell for that very reason alone

25. Yeah, they all need to repent
Gillespie is the head of this group, right? Well, if we are to forgive and forget, then he should get each and every one of those pukes who said Clinton killed Foster to come down front and repent.

Otherwise, no deal. We'll be coming at ya, fighting fire with fire.

Fringe! Imagine! Can someone name every person on a high level that was involved in the claim about Bill or Hillary having Foster killed. We need to know who the fringe included. Burton was not fringe. Anyone know the others that were on an equally high level?

conduct an investigation into what this administration knew about 9/11.

3000 Americans died, but Mr. Ed seems to have no interest in finding out what this administration might have known in advance....wonder why?
