Apparently caring for the environment is the province of left-wing whackos, extremists and alarmists and environmental groups' sole purpose is to raise money.

Of course, let's have someone who disregards environmental issues in favor of corporate interests as chairman of the committee.

All decisions should be based on
Sound science (very interesting that their sound science is usually a minority position)
Cost benefit analysis
EPA should serve people (read corporations)

2. Perhaps he adheres to the Watt school of environmental thought

James Watt, Secretary of the Interior under the Reagan administration, felt that there was no need to protect the environment because the end was coming SOON! In 1981, he told a Congressional committee, "I don't know how many future generations we can count on until the Lord returns." It is indeed frightening that such a man could be appointed to a cabinet post.

3. We can dismiss the EPA...

...until we retake the WH. Until then all we are going to get from them it tripe. The "soldiers" in the offices adn labs are still fighting for the right things, but they are being hamstrung by the Administration and the "Ghouls" Bush and Co. keep putting in charge.
