or delibrately misrepresented Atrios' work. Seems hard for me to believe that a smart, saavy journalist for Salon could be so tone deaf, I think they did it on purpose. Then, once called out on it issues a small retraction.

It would have been all over Rush, Hannity and Fox News by now and every Hispanic woman named Maria would have had 6-8 reporters calling them to see if they knew Clinton... and, I'm pretty sure there are a lot of Hispanic Marias.
