ACS - Affiliated Computer Services - Pros & Cons

DUers, if you are employed by, know someone who is employed by, ACS, my wife and I would love to hear your feedback.

We know vey little about ACS, beyond the few articles we culled from the web, which were very redundant.

Looking for some first or second hand opinions on what it's like to work for ACS.

(We are aware that they are an 'outsourcing' Co. which is already a 'con' in our books.)

From what I hear from her, they are not pleasant to work for.

I'm one of those lucky people that's still employed, and was slightly considering jumping ship.

But once I found out for real what ACS does, I think I'll stay where I am. It'd be nice to have some more ammo in making my decision, though.

If your friend wants to DU-mail me, that'd be great too. We could take it offline.

Actually, I work for a state agency that contracts with ACS. They do some electronic benefits work in the food stamp program. They also have the Medicaid contract. I inquire into the TMHP system almost every day. :-)
