More %#$@%$ tax cuts?!?!?!
http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/nation/8131347.htm

<snip>
That's not to say GOP leaders will find it easy to pass the budget. Democrats are sure to try to change it by proposing smaller tax cuts and more spending and deficit reduction.
<snip>

WHy are we trying to minimize the damage instead of telling them that WE JUST CAN'T AFFORD ANY MORE TAX CUTS RIGHT NOW?!!?!?!? When are congressional dems going to freaking grow a set?!

DAMMIT!

1. For example the Dems want the 10% rate to STAY in place
and I do too. Some middle/lower class Bush tax cuts are good.

2. What tax cut?
My salary puts me firmly in middle-class. Yet, I have to PAY this year. Only $100 (which I can't really afford) but still. At least the tax cuts are stimulating the economy. (/sarcasm)

4. tax cuts
I make below $20,000 a year and have to pay $700 in Federal Income Tax in addition to what they already took out of my pay check.

With the unemployment rate so high I can't even find a better paying job in my area.

Thanks to W and his greedy corporate buddies

THe only reason why it's smaller than last year was because I gave more to charity. thanks for the tax cut you lying sack of Bush!

12. No shit
I just did my taxes over lunch and I owe over $300 this year. How the hell can I owe money. I've never owed money until this year and before anyone asks no my salary did not go up this year.

3. Tax cuts, my ass.
No, your taxes aren't going up. But your FEES are. Your ASSESSMENTS are.

By the time you finish adding up the extra costs, your tax cut has evaporated and then some. Unless, of course, you were very very very rich to begin with.

5. Isn't this the definition of insanity?

Doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

Tax cuts to not create jobs. They don't even help the unemployed.

10. What tax cut?
Any tax cut we received was wiped out by the rise in our health insurance and property taxes. When is America going to figure out that the only people who benefit from Bush's tax cuts are the wealthy and corporate America? Puzzling!

13. The GOP tax cut scam
The middle class has been the victim of a 20-year show of smoke and mirrors put on by the GOP with support by Democrats too incompetent to expose the scam for what it is.

This massive redistribution of wealth through tax policy is well documented in a new book, "Perfectly Legal".

Basically the middle class has been thrown crumbs while the richest Americans have been given the whole bakery. To add insult to injury, some of the crumbs are reclaimed by the government through such vehicles as the Alternative Minimum Tax(AMT) and tax audits of the working poor (while the returns of high earners go unchallenged).

In addition, the middle class is subsidizing, through the tax laws, perks for corporate CEOs, hugh mortgages on multi-million dollar homes, and the unearned income enjoyed by those with a portfolio of stocks and bonds. Meanwhile the poor sucker with a few thousand dollars in the book winds up paying taxes on the paltry interest earned.

There's much more. Read this book. Tell your friends to read it. It is time that the truth be known about who really benefits from these tax cuts and how it's been done. I can't believe that there's anybody who won't get mad as hell from reading this book.
