"So nasty, so early" ...the media mantra
What exactly has Kerry done that is so nasty? And does the media simply forget and ignore the Clinton years. Republicans and their radio and TV whores have been joined at the hips for years spilling their vile rants and lies. But somehow Kerry makes policy speeches and gets caught saying some truthful crooked comments and now he is united with the sicko right as being nasty. This is bizarro world.

1. When the supposed victim is the one
launching the attacks all the time, eventually people start to notice who is the real cause to the problem.

In the past, the repugs were more subtle and their attacks worked. Before the birth of 24/7 cable news, the American people had never before been subjected to this sort of campaigning and especially in the beginning, most people accepted as fact the accusations that the repugs were making. Gee, I heard it on TV News, it must be true.

The difference now is that most people are much more aware of this type of manipulation. Second, a strategy that in the past had been used sparingly and at just the right moment, is now a daily occurrence. The problem is that the WH is generating so many baseless attacks on their opponents that no one can keep up. Plus with the power of the internet, these attacks are debunked almost instantly. As long as Kerry maintains the high ground and doesn't get himself dragged down into the mud with Bu$hCo, Bu$hCo will self-destruct soon enough.

3. Do recall that Bush worked with Lee Atwater under his father,
Anything Bush and Co do is dirty. They are out to win. They have not got enough of the tax payers money yet to give up. When the people see what they have taken from us I am sure we will just want to give up.

2. That's the mantra, but we tell the TRUTH, and they call it "nasty"
Edited on Thu Mar-18-04 08:00 AM by DeepModem Mom
The media hasn't told the truth, or held the Bush cabal responsible for its nefariousness, or its unprecedented departure from the norms and traditions of American politics. They operate outside our democratic system any time they can, and are a danger to it. Somebody has to call them out, or we're lost.
