4 contractors deaths blamed on Bill Clinton
Neal Boortz had the audacity to blame the mutilation, dismembering and burning of the 4 contractors on Bill Clinton. On his radio show, he said because he didn't send more troops into Somalia, and the way those troops were slaughtered pretty much gave Iraq the idea to do the same thing, and not expect any retaliation. He said, and I am paraphrasing, Bill Clinton did not show a backbone when he pulled the troops out of Somalia, instead of sending more.

1. bush's going on and on about "Blackhawk Down"
being his favorite movie is the cause of this & of course bush personally. bush must have loved seeing those troops dragged thru the streets in Somalia (that daddy sent) since he loved the movie so much - think the Iraqi's thought "okay"

8. read the book, missed the movie
But, at the end of the book, I am fairly sure that they do specifically mention that Clinton wanted to keep the troops there, but because of the demands from the Republican Congress & the Fright Wing Media, they were withdrawn soon after the incident. However, we had the warlord on the ropes after the incident (the book made it out that Aidid (sp?) shot his load with the ambush and had nothing left...) We lost 18 soldiers & 2 black hawk helicopters that day, but the Somalis lost at least 500, and more likely 1,000, and the soldiers did capture Aidid's 2 top lieutenants in the raid.

19. Exactly
Everyone forget that the fucking republicans are the ones who screamed bloody murder everytime Clinton did something. Why didn't Clinton crack down on Al Qaeda? Because every time he did, Repugs screamed "Wag the Dog" (Aspirin factory incident anyone?) Bush can destroy Iraq to save the "poor Iraqis" from that madman Saddam Hussein, but when Clinton tried to stop genocides in Bosnia and Somalia, he was the biggest asshole on earth. It's all selective memory propaganda BULLSHIT.

13. You forget
why American troops were sent to Somalia in the first place. The people were starving and we tried to help....as did twenty five soldiers from Pakistan who were murdered at the hands of evil thugs.

15. I don't think that George Bush II knows that George Bush I sent those
troops into Somalia. And I don't think Neal remembers the pressure that Reagan faced to pull the troops out of Beirut after his troops fell victim to a suicide bomber. And Reagan did pull them out.

9. The idiot forgot that Reagan pulled the troops from Beirut after this
In the early morning hours of 23 October 1983, a truck loaded with explosives crashed through the security perimeter of the United States Marine Corps Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. In the explosion that followed, 241 U.S. Military personnel were killed and 80 seriously wounded.
