Just how much can we thank Lou Dobbs?
Do you realize this is the ONLY program on TV that is fighting for the working class?

We all need to send an email to CNN thanking them for leting him air the opinions of all of us!

Even the broadcast news doesn't air the legitimate stuff that he does.

THANK YOU LOU!!!!!!!!!

1. Man we are through the looking glass!
If you had told me a year ago, that we would be praising Lou Dobbs
as a hero of the working class, I would have kicked you in the nads.
Now I am forced to agree.

Welcome to Bizzaro world, go away soon!

4. Lou Dobbs has credability. O'Riley does not!
When you listen to Lou7 debate with his guests, he makes sense and won't let anybody get away with the typical crap. O'Riley doesn't.

I used to watch O'Riley too, but found him to be a supporter of the greedy corps just like mpost of the rest of the talking heads.

Lou has not done that and I admire him for that. I sure hope he doesn't get tossed off the air because of his stance.

3. Lou Dobbs is understands capitalism. The Republican Party doesn't.
Edited on Mon Apr-05-04 06:05 PM by w4rma
The Republican Party, as a whole, doesn't understand capitalism. Imho, the CEOs and self-made billionares understand capitalism very very very very well and a few members of the Republican leadership also do. Most of these folks tell the rest of the Republican Party what to do through lies about reality that help enrich themselves.

5. Watched with my jaw dropping
This guy has an understanding of democracy and capitalism like no other talking head on TV.

8. I heard that rumor -- is there a link confirming it?
I know he left CNN at one point, to do an internet project, but then returned, I think, with a very lucrative contract.

11. I don't believe it's true
Somebody posted a link here from two years ago that said Lou Dobbs was leaving CNN Financial. He did, a long time ago. Now he's got a show on regular CNN, and as far as I know, he hasn't announced he's leaving it.

12. Write to CNN via Lou Dobbs' comment line
I watch his show whenever I can and have been telling others about it. His in-depth and on-going series' on the Outsourcing of America and on the conditions and treatment of our troops both in the field and back home wounded have been phenomenal. My jaw just about hit the floor when I first realized what he's doing. No one else in the broadcast media (that is, the ones owned by big corporations) was touching these subjects when he started, and for the most part they still aren't.

I've written him several times to give him an atta-boy and thank him for being such a mensch. I always add (for the benefit of CNN) that Lou is almost the only reason I have for watching CNN.

We DUers are so quick to complain about the media for falling down on the job -- and rightly so -- but it's all the more important to catch them doing something right so we can reinforce that behavior.
