Can someone tell me if this is true? Two US helicopters down in Iraq
Two US helicopter gunships reportedly downed in Iraq

09.04.2004, 03.31
BEIRUT, April 9 (Itar-Tass) - Two US helicopter gunships were reportedly downed near El-Falluja. One of the craft crashed in the Al-Qarma suburb and the other in a green locality close to the city.

The US command has not confirmed the loss of the helicopters so far.

On Thursday and overnight US aircraft delivered missile and bomb strikes on the northwest and east of the city with a 400.000 population. Street fighting was reported.

Residents of Kerbela and Al-Qut in the south of Iraq were reportedly engaged in fierce fighting with coalition forces. British aircraft provided support to Polish and Bulgarian servicemen in the areas.
