What would President Gore have done?

I wish Gore would tell us. If he had the same PDB as Bush, would Gore have sat on his fanny on a month-long vacation as Bush did? I don't think so. The trees would have been shaken.

I think Gore can speak for us on this one.

1. Good idea.

There is a big problem for us Dems in Wartime. Notice how Kerry is not criticizing the war at all now. I think this is probably very smart. Kerry needs to attract pro-war people. The facts on the ground and the continuing terrible horror facing our troops in Iraq will make the argument for him. It would be very unseemly for Kerry to make political hay off the deaths of our troops. Gore, however, aligned himself with Howard Dean and has been so strident, such a wonderful attack dog. He is perfect for the job. Gore can be our attack dog and credibly address what he would have done as president instead of this boob Bush.

2. Your first mistake was "same PDB as Bush"

President Gore would never accepted a Dumb down PDB, his would have had tons more facts and he would not have been on his 30 day CEO only vacation.

But other than that, Yes I do wonder how boring it would be to still be looking :hi: that those boring WTC towers. :(

3. Gore would have been so removed from this situation you can't guess

9/11 wouldn't have happened. Gore would have caught the terrorists at the airport gate with a Clinton airport alert. Afghanistan wouldn't have happened because the Freepers would have yelled "Wag The Dog" to stop it. Maybe a couple of cruise missiles shot would have the sum total of the response to catching the 9/11 terrorists at the gate. Iraq obviously wouldn't have happened. We'd still be yelling about "no fly zones." There would have still been a bit of a downturn economically, but things would be picking up by now.

McCain and Ridge would probably be beating each other to death in the primaries, with McCain leading Gore in polls and Gore beating Ridge in same polls.

because Gore has a brain and the only thing his daddy was working on that needed to get finished was global peace.

#2 the WTC attacks probably wouldn't have happened since Usama didn't have a revengeful desire to kill Gore's Daddy. Isn't that what Bush thinks the motive was?

#3 Who knows? reformed CAFE standards might be on their way to getting us off imported oil. It sure wouldn't take much. But it'll never happen as long as the Oil Cartel is in charge of our government. Gore was not in the pocket of the oil giants, far from it.
