Does Bill Clinton have the power to stop the CA.Recall?
This was the topic on a local radio show this morning & MANY think he does.If he does have the power, can someone explain to me how? Also, is this good or bad for the Democrats?

3. I believe one needs to be a resident
of California......I don't know for how long.....Cheney moved back to Wyoming for a few days to qualify for the VP ticket.....

4. he could campaign in the state against the recall
and drive it into the ground

His name recognition and popularity would get Dems out to the polls and they'd vote down the recall.

5. well, if he is eligible to run
then yes. No repukes would vote to rid the place of Davis is the Big dog was waiting in the wings. He would beat Issa like a rented mule.

7. Thats kinda' what I was referring to
Clinton could REALLY go out & try to get the Democrats to vote.I mean, people who don't usually vote could really come out if the Big Dog worked on them & showed them how important it really is.

8. With the car tax bills coming out today
some of which have increased by 200%, I don't think Davis has a chance of saving himself.
Businesses are running from California in droves because of taxes and jobs are falling away in record numbers.
Raising taxes on everyone in the state who drives a motor vehicle is not going to endear Davis to many voters irregardless of their political affiliation.

I think the recall is going to backfire.

When it does, the Repubs will go into a frenzy and demand Issa'a head on a platter.

15. I dont know why
he'd win hands down

Problem is, he doesn't live here...and he can't move here soon enough to be eligible ;-)

He SHOULD do some campaigning against the recall...that's where he could do some real good.
