Is Vote .com Repub?
This is from the Washington Times:
http://washingtontimes.com/national/20030804-112056-2488r.htm

Gore-y details
There has been some hubbub afoot: Could Al Gore be mulling a run for president in 2004? Perhaps. But there are many who wish he would give it a rest.
According to an online poll (www.vote.com) of some 6,000 respondents released yesterday, 80 percent said Mr. Gore should not attempt another try at the White House.
"Al Gore had his shot and he lost. Don't beat a dead horse and stay out of the 2004 race," suggested the naysayers.

That is so damn stupid. Vote.com is a republican stinkhole! Plus the damn poll is freeped and unscientific! This is so biased! This is the time for the Media Watch Group. Refute them with polls and logic not this kind of bullshit. That is just terrible journalism. You should never cite a biased site like that or an unscientifc poll! I am stark raving mad!

Please Email them: ? Contact Jennifer Harper at jharper@washingtontimes.com or 202/636-3085.

Look you can discuss this at VOTE.com and still vote. Come and vote as many times as you can. http://chat.vote.com/index.php?s=183cf6e7df25ac2da1fcfa81110b5c21&act=SF&f=143

8. People's opinions change
Davis got almost 50% of the vote total 9 months ago. Now his approval rate is lower than Nixon's zenith.

9. This is bullshit, look at the polls; real polls
Gore is backed by a majority of Dems. This is freeped and will be taken to the WT for poor journalism.

11. It's poor journalism, regardlesss of whether it was Freeped or Duped
Polls are unscientific, and display biases of site visitors (put a poll on DU, "Will you vote for Bush in 2004?" and you'll get maybe 10% yes), people with tendency to vote (maybe Gore supporters are simply not the kind of people who vote in online polls), organized attacks, or people with net connection not being representative of the population (in an online poll, "are you connected to the internet?" obviously 100% of the people will vote yes).

That said, not every poll that doesn't show that Bush's approval rating is below 30%, that the Dems are going to win 45 states, and that the most unpopular Dem will beat Bush by a margin of 10 points, is freeped.

12. I am glad you agree
Our Gore Media Watch Group is now on this. We have already took on CNN and other media outlets who do this to Gore:

14. CNN doesn't report the truth, either
I have taken part on e-mail campaigns to urge them to cover stories, unfavorable to the administration, that they just plain ignore.:-(

17. Gore still enjoys strong support with Democrats .....
I think the initial assertion, that Vote.com is right wing, is correct ......

This had been noted long ago ...

16. It is run by....
Dick Morris and Bob Woodward. They started this before the 2000 election. They are sneaky and shifty......Questions are loaded against democrats where you don't have a correct answer, and a poor best one to fit if you are a democrat.

4. Dick Morris created and owns Vote.com
Probably a big-time DLCer, I can see why Vote.com would end up with poll results like that.

This is a mockery. The Washington Times will pay for writing such shit. This is a joke on their behalf.

15. This stupid website is a joke
On the issues I viewed, I disagreed with the ``majority'' everytime. Why do we care about this biased poll? If Al Gore chooses to run and gets the nomination, I'm sure everyone on this board will vote for him again!

saying much good about it. Finding redeeming value in vote.com is a stretch indeed. Aside from that, I don't trust them.

13. The Washington Times is one of the most conservative newspapers
Of course they wouldn't support Al Gore. Their reporting is inaccurate, however! Who among us will concede that he lost the 2000 presidential election?! He received the most votes and they must know this.:grr:
