I was just rejected by the Colmes show

I'm listening on XM--the "America Left" channel--and there's a constant stream of idiot conservatives calling in. So I dial up the Colmes number---and get through on my second try.

Colmes lackey: "What's your point?"

Me: "That Colmes shouldn't be on America Left. He's not a liberal. He only has conservative callers, because real liberals hate him. I'm tired of hearing from all those conservatives."

Lackey: "This is a conservative medium, ma'am."

Me: "No, it isn't. That's a myth. That is precisely why we need Air America, because of wimpy, fake liberals like Colmes. There are plenty of real liberals in America, like me."

Lackey: "(repeats, for emphasis)This is a conservative medium, ma'am. Where are you calling from?"

Me: "Kansas City. XM radio."

Lackey: "Oh, I thought you were from the local channel. That entire channel is conservative except for us. We get mostly conservative callers."

Me: "Well, I'm a liberal and I have something to say!" pause-no answer. "So do I get on?"

Lackey: "No, we discussed this issue last week. Alan had a long discussion about it with a caller."

Me: "Evidently Colmes lost, as usual." I hang up the phone.

Get this man off the air!

3. Did anyone catch the spot

Last week i think it was during Randi Rhodes show. It was called "Being Alan Colmes". It was like he was sitting in a restaraunt and the waiter was hocking and spitting on his food.
He was like "I wish you wouldn't do that" in this wimpy voice,then the announcer comes in with the "Being alan Colmes" thing.
I couldn't stop laughing for an hour.

4. well in the screener's defense

it sounds like you were going to pitch air america... so he doesn't want to put on a hostile caller promoting another radio network. You can make the argument without pitching competitors that Alan is a pawn for the right to appear "balanced", but obviously if you look at topic selection on 'Hannity and Colmes' and the type of callers he takes -- almost all conservative -- that's hardly the case.
