2004 Governors Races
What's the opinion on the crop of folks we have running in '04? In particular what's the opinion of those in pickup/open seat situations: Joe Kernan(IN), Scott Matheson (UT), Brian Schweitzer (MT), Bob Manchin (WV), and Christine Gregore (WA)?

Also what's the situation on the messy primary in the Show-Me State? Which is better, Gov. Bob Holden or Claire McCaskill?

1. I do not like Christine Gregoire.
I think she would be a sequel to governor Gary Locke. Both are just DINOs and are in the back pocket of the corporations. I support Phill Talmadge for Governor. He is a real Democrat and has called B.s. on Gary Locke's "sweetheart" deal with Boeing and he stands for the people. Sadly, Gregoire has taken the lead in money followed by Ron Sims. Tamladge is third. I wished Howard Dean's Democracy for America group would come here to support this guy! He reminds me of Dean in a way.

Here's a great article on him in the Seattle Weekly...

3. well we don't vote for governor here in GA until 06
but I can tell you right now, the Democrats could run Tony Soprano and he'd probably win. Our idiodic repuke governor has thoroughly pissed off teachers, state employees and rebel flag waving rednecks, so much so, that I wouldn't be surprised if the repugs tossed him out and chose someone else to run in his place. Only good thing I can say for the man is . . wait, nope can't think of a damn thing!
